Choate engineering valve covers not only look great being made from 6061 billet aluminum. But they also are functional and are another part engineered from choate to address the failure of the 6.4 engine the 6.0 engine was never plagued with lack of lubrication at the rocker arms.

Because the injectors of the 6.0 will emit oil each time they fire the injector. Whereas the 6.4 utilizes a high-pressure common-rail set up that doesn't eject oil when fired. This design was overlooked and has led to many lifter failures that resulted in camshaft failures.

Once this happens the engine must be pulled and completely gone thru. The valve cover from Choate uses an integrated oiling design to allow drip oiling to the rocker arms at all times. This completely eliminates future failures.
